Another Medium contributor just today suggested I check out your work, so I read this advice piece. He was right. You are observant, insightful and amusing. The one thing I would disagree with is your knock of 3-minute reads. Pascal or Twain or Churchill or somebody once said of a letter he'd sent that "if I'd had more time, I would have written shorter." Medium could use more humor, as you say, but more brevity would be welcome. I'm a retiree from the print world, still relatively new to Medium, but I've seen enough to know that there's way too much essaying that's too long by half if not more. It makes me think of efficient New Yorker articles that get inflated into books. I've also seen enough to to know that the size of one's following has nothing to do with quality of writing. If it did, you wouldn't have only 2% as many followers as Ulcer and Windsock.
