As someone who has written professionally and very publicly under my my real name for four decades, that argument seems flimsy to me. But I will respect your feeling that way. I wrote this piece when I was new to Medium and the presence of so many disguised writers. I have done my best since to avoid Ms. Wildfire and other pseudonymous provocateurs. But just for the record, I have spoken to a real Jessica Wildfire who's an administrator at the U. of Tennessee. She is not happy about the crap she gets whenever the fake one posts an essay.
