So are fire departments in general, but this one in Nebraska is special

On a rise along 110th Street in Bellevue, Nebraska, the state’s oldest city, now an Omaha suburb, sits one of the coolest firehouses you’ll ever see.

Actually, it wasn’t built more than 100 years ago to be a a firehouse. It’s a great example of adaptive re-use that has been added onto to accommodate big, modern trucks.

It also, as the photo gallery below demonstrates, has been painted and detailed like a minimalist masterpiece.
