Much too much great music from last century — and even early this one — is being forgotten. Our popular culture gets more disposable by the day.

Wouldn’t it be nifty if there was a themed oldies podcast or weekly hour on public radio that would introduce vintage hits and oddities to a new audience?

Wouldn’t it be cool if it spanned rock, pop, R&B, country, Broadway and movie music? The ultimate in crossover?
