Heavenly Bodies

A song-poem for a Saturday, or any day

Full moon photo by Marty Winkler

I will fall upon you

Like dawn light from your window

Warming slowly ’til we’re burning like the sun

I will look upon you

Like a moon man full of mischief

And softly sink like a ghost into your sea

We’re not of this flesh

We are heavenly bodies

We’re not of this flesh

We are heavenly bodies

We’re not of this flesh

We are heavenly bodies

Close your eyes and spin around this crazy world with me

Close your eyes and spin around this crazy world with me
