I recognize that there are egregious instances of appropriation that should be called out, but in the main, I have no problem with it because it goes both ways and more or less evens out in the end. I mean, W. C. Handy and Louis Armstrong invented jazz using a horn crafted by Germans. (Also, really good article.)
