I thank you for raising this issue, but I must also say that I don't find the reasons so baffling, especially where the U.S. is concerned. "We" don't have the same colonial history in Africa that the UK, France, Belgium et al do. But none of these countries has the resources to address all the jihadist flashpoints in Africa (even if they had the will). What do you propose the Western countries do?
