I was glad to see this piece, Bill, even if belatedly. Apart from all the problems with Haque's essays that you point out, he is also guilty of basically writing the same rant over and over and over. And he's not the only prolific Medium contributor with a suspiciously hazy background, a pathological contempt for Americans and highly divisive tone. I tend to think of trolls as authors of short, graphic misinformation aimed at people who are not exactly deep-diving readerrs, but maybe there's another breed that just hasn't gotten much scrutiny.
