One of the best pilots for a TV comedy ever was "The Texas Wheelers." The great old character actor Jack Elam played the patriarch, Zack, who could have been one of Faulkner's Snopes clan. Mark Hamill (played the younger son, Doobie, and Gary Busey the older son, Trucky. ABC cancelled it after half a season. Creator Dale McCraven rebounded with a show called "Mork &Mindy." Not sure what ever happened to the other two stars.
