Pop Stand: Dream Along with Me
How many dream songs can you name?
“Only trouble is/Gee whiz/I’m dreaming my life away” — Felice and Boudleaux Bryant, made famous by the Everly Brothers
It’s no surprise that songwriters are big on dreaming. It’s often where their songs come from. Paul McCartney, for instance, has said that both “Yesterday” and “Let It Be” originated in dreams.
My Pop Stand playlist only skims some of the obvious dreamy songs.
