Thanks for your response. I have to tell you, I'm amazed that you are not getting more articles published in traditional publications or landing a book deal. You're one of the best writers I've read on Medium, and you have what would seem to me a very marketable area of interest. I come to Medium from a different place. I'm retired and writing books now, but for almost four decades I was a newspaper columnist whose work was put in front of hundreds of thousands of people on any given day. I'm a three time Pulitzer nominee and a National Headliner honoree. But that means nothing on Medium, and I have struggled get read. I'm sure it doesn't help that my subject matter is, well, whatever strikes my fancy. I'm also old enough to be dumbfounded by the in's and out's of all these platforms and substacks (?). "Illumination" regularly picks up my postings, but that's it. Is there some kind of guide to negotiating this landscape that I am missing? Thanks for listening. I bother you with these questions only because your writing and thinking are bracing -- and suggest you're a stand-up fellow.
