This post astounds me. I'm "functionally" deaf and haven't been able to hear with much fidelity any new music in more than a decade. But even if I could hear, it's hard to imagine having enough time to listen to so much new stuff in a year that I could have more than 100 favorites. How DO you do it, and how much lesser stuff did you have to wade through?
