Thought for the Day

Senor Wences as envisioned by Michael Fong

I’ve been getting some lectures about writers’ rights to privacy, pseudonyms, and secrecy. One person even informed me that Medium is its own reality and isn’t subject to the same rules as, you know, this thing some of us think of as life.

I would just like to say that while the 1st Amendment protects free speech, it’s nonetheless illegal to shout “Fire!” in a crowded theater.

A philosopher I know would like me to add that it should be doubly illegal to shout “Fire!” using a ventriloquist voice.

“S’awright?”

“S’awright.”
