While acknowledging there is some truth to this piece, I can't help wondering why Mr. Edward believes France or any other European country is so much better? How are they free of the corporate influence that infects the US? Do they not have plutocrats from way back? And let's not even talk about China, Russia, Poland and the other nations that are truly totalitarian.
